Story
This website was created for De Schildknaap, a newly opened game store selling card and board games. They asked for more than just a webshop, they wanted a place that reflects who they are: a hub for play, connection, and community.
The goal was to design a site that tells their story. A story about the joy of gathering around a table, the importance of game culture, and the feeling of belonging. Inspired by the atmosphere of a medieval tavern, the design uses warm, wooden textures and small playful elements to create a cozy, welcoming space.
The result is a website where you can not only buy games, but also discover events, explore the playroom, and find your way into their growing community. A digital extension of their store, one that embodies what they stand for and invites people to become part of their story.
