“Design is my way to reconnect with what matters, through mindful creation.”
Hi, I'm Lieke, a designer exploring the space where nature, society, and meaning meet.
Through my work, I aim to shed light on social issues, using design to raise awareness and imagine new possibilities. I’m especially interested in sustainability and nature, though I'm also inspired by dance, technology, and youth culture.
I move between research and making, with both natural materials and the offline world to exploration behind my laptop. From this process, outcomes grow that are both meaningful and aesthetic.

A physical data visualization exploring the four-year shift from human to AI-driven content moderation on social media, and what that means for us.
A workshop for creatives to explore the potential of discarded paper tissues, giving waste a second life as an accessory that connects nature's raw materials to your own body.
I believe ideas become stronger when they move beyond the screen. Design engages all the senses, not just the eye. The feel of textures can enrich the story you want to tell.
My process starts with curiosity: asking questions and exploring contexts. Grounded research gives design depth, making sure ideas connect to the world they belong to.
For me, design is more than aesthetics. It’s about creating awareness which will lead to impact. A project becomes meaningful when it touches both the eye and the mind.
By testing, failing, and trying again, unexpected results often lead to new directions. It’s in those moments of surprise that innovation and itteration begins.
Design connects people to each other, to ideas, to the world and to the social issues around them. I use my work to share perspectives, and open up conversations that matter.
